Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 2026

TanninLab participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This means that when you click on certain links on our site and make a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Our Independence Policy

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content, product reviews, or recommendations. We test and evaluate products based on their merits alone. Our reviews are honest assessments based on hands-on testing in real aquarium conditions.

If a product performs poorly in our testing, we will say so regardless of whether it carries an affiliate link. We purchase all products at retail price for testing. We do not accept free products from manufacturers in exchange for reviews.

How We Use Affiliate Revenue

Affiliate commissions help fund our testing program, including equipment purchases, water testing supplies, and operational costs. They allow us to maintain independence from manufacturer advertising and keep our content free to readers.

Other Disclosures

  • -We do not publish sponsored posts or paid reviews.
  • -We do not have exclusive partnerships with any brand.
  • -Product recommendations are based on testing results, not commission rates.
  • -We may display advertising through third-party networks (display ads) in addition to affiliate links.
