Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 2026

TanninLab participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This means that when you click on certain links on our site and make a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Our Independence Policy

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content, guides, or recommendations. We build recommendations from manufacturer specifications, product labels, published husbandry sources and owner reports, and we do not run our own in-tank tests.

If the specs or owner reports point to problems with a product, we say so regardless of whether it carries an affiliate link. We do not accept free products from manufacturers in exchange for coverage.

How We Use Affiliate Revenue

Affiliate commissions help pay for hosting, research, and the time it takes to write and update guides. They allow us to maintain independence from manufacturer advertising and keep our content free to readers.

Other Disclosures

-We do not publish sponsored posts or paid reviews.
-We do not have exclusive partnerships with any brand.
-Product recommendations are based on specs and sources, not commission rates.
-We may display advertising through third-party networks (display ads) in addition to affiliate links.
